So, where do you begin?
Start by going through your closets and drawers. Look for those treasured items that you no longer wear, may have never worn and sadly, just don't fit. While selecting items to consign, take into consideration that our shoppers are looking for:
Best question you can ask yourself when selecting an item for consignment is, "Is this something that would catch my eye and something I might purchase?'
What we don't accept:
We no longer accept prom. wedding dresses or formal dresses however, we still DO ACCEPT cocktail dresses.
We DO NOT accept Counterfeit Handbags and Wallets
We accept pants on a limited basis. Pants/Jeans are not the best seller so we are very selective. They must be, NWT (new with tag), very unique or
be a designer label.
STEP ONE: Review our guidelines (see below) and be certain your items are properly prepared for consignment.

Out-of-town Consignors may request prepaid postage for their box that will be deducted from their commission check. For more information on how to mail you items please email us at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
You, the Consignor, are responsible to ensure that all of your items have been cleaned and pressed, free of stains, odors, free of pilling, holes, tares, fading and excessive wear. All zippers must zip, buttons must be secure, hooks and snaps are properly attached.
Clothing MUST be freshly laundered, ironed and on hangers (don't worry, we will return your hangers to you that very same day). Remember, the better the item looks, that faster it will sell!
We may charge a fee of up to $25 for items that require additional cleaning or repair! The cost of the work, if necessary, will be deducted from the consignors' portion of the proceed from the sale/s
Your items will be given a "SECOND LOOK" before they are put on the rack. If something was missed and items do not fit the standard mentioned above after the Second Look, they will be donated.
The reason is everyone has a style and their closet represents that style. If we take too much of one consignors items at on time our store will no longer provide shoppers a variety of styles and sizes.
If any items provided to TCB for resale by the Consignor is found to be counterfeit or it ICB incurs any liability as a result of the sale of such item, the consignor agree to indemnify TCB for any damages including any and all judgements, liens, fines, etc., including attorney fees.
Q: Term for in-store consignments?
A: 90 days, exception items priced to be sold for $100 or more will have a consignment period of 12 months.
Q: Terms of on-line store consignments?
A: Items sold on-line are etirely at the discretion of TCB. Because listing items on-line is such a time consuming process we extend this terms to 12 months.
Q: What happens if my items don't sell?
A: Items not picked up by the last day of the consignment period become the property of TCB and will be liquidated or donated to Family Services, Oneonta, NY.
Q: How do payouts work?
A; Consignor will receive 40% of the final sales price. Money owed is paid on the 15th of every month for the prior whole month. Notices are sent out via email. UNCLAIMED PAYOUTS expire after 45 days. Monthly payouts of $15 or less will be turned into store credit and will be available for use for a period of 1-year.
